Due to how widespread the issue of things like brigading and the fact nobody else will touch upon them, this is, by its nature, the ultimate authority of all things relating to them.
Appeals/promotions across all communities in the same group of communities use the same group, which is also a casual setting, and also take advice and suggestions from the same think tank of self-reflection which keep it as accommodating as possible.

I guess some people see it a bit as bragging just from looking at the title. The title gives no information on why it might be an interesting AMA. The complete lack of a post body saying what the record is about, or even interesting info about holding the record, leaves little reason for an AMA.
Even something as simple as "I hold the world record for X" would be more engaging.
I mean, it is a crowd known for its "braggy" nature. It's not unusual to see things like "I am a news anchor, AMA" or "I just beat Ocarina of Time, AMA". I wasn't specific because I thought that if I let the engagement clarify the specifics, there would be more engagement.
