last time i went to mcdonalds it was to pick up food for my parents who were both sick and that's what they requested for some reason. it was almost comical what a fucking shitshow that place has become. i waited like 20 minutes for 2 combo meals which came out to ~$30.

they can blame everything but themselves all they want, but as it turns out, if you're neither cheap NOR good NOR fast, then people aren't going to buy your shit, regardless of how they feel about america

Question is why your parents asked.

…It’s habit, I guess? Like, I am legitimately curious what their motivation was in that instance. Why do people specifically seek out McDonalds?

Regardless of whether you like the food, the draw is usually that it's consistent and familiar.

The paste is consistent.

The paste is familiar.

Makes sense. Kinda like how Usain Bolt (IIRC) ate McNuggets before a big race because they’re known and safe.
