Kind of perpendicular to the point, but this album sounds like it's going to be cool as fuck. Larsen transitioned during the recording of the album, first recording it with his original vocal range before beginning hormone treatments and harmonizing against the original vocals with his new, deeper voice. This allows him to duet with himself in a way that I've never heard before.

He counts Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Sufjan Stevens as major influences, and calls Adrianne Lenker, who fronts the folk-rock band Big Thief, “one of the best songwriters since forever”.

If none of those artists mean anything to you, it speaks to a gentle, melancholy acoustic sound, often comprised of just vocals and guitar.
