The pit strategy is one stop and hope the neigh inevitable safety car doesn't play into someone else's favor
Hey now, there doesn't have to be a safety car. It could also be a red flag!
I feel like Pirelli might have possibly been too conservative again with the tires. C3s last year could basically last the whole distance if I remember right. And graining seems to be even less of a problem this year.
I mean it doesn't get softer than this in the range? So idk what else Pirelli could do besides slightly lower mandated pressures
There is one step softer. We have a C6 tyre this season.
Oh, I forgot they got rid of the C0 of last year and shifted it to the 6
Good riddance too as that C0 was useless and awful every time they rolled it out - which in fairness wasn't often.
The C6 is supposed to be for street tracks with low deg so in theory this should be a perfect occasion for it. But I think Pirelli are too scared of a puncture around here and so we'll get another boring one stopper instead.
