... You might be right. He has a weird accent, and if he pronounced the 'a' like an American and swallowed the 'gg' ...
Or maybe that's the secret do defeating the Conservatives? "We can totally make an LNG pipeline to the coast, but ... err ... that would make you all pretty gay."
gay and gagged dont sound alike?
No... Not at all. "gae" Vs "gahgged". Gay has a hard A, gagged had a soft A. Plus gagged had a 'gg' sound in the middle, and also a D sound at the end. Actually, the only thing they have in common is starting with a G.
Do they sound the same to you?
I’ve never heard anyone pronounce it like that. Everyone I know says “gaygged”. Must be a regional thing or something.

almost everyone saying "GAAAG-ED" never heard of GAYED.
It reminds me of my teacher from northern Wisconsin that would say words like "bag" and "flag" as "bayg" and "flayg". She would say "back" and "flack" like you'd expect but for some reason "-ag" words got the different vowel
Um, can we make this happen? Like immediately?
Oh man, I was for LNG but that's pretty gay tho. Gotta have to cancel.
