If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. A more effective strategy might be to prioritize electrifying (or building more electrified) public transit infrastructure in urban areas, and prioritizing the installation of EV charging stations for rural areas.
Attempting to adopt widespread EV charging station all over any kind of diverse landscape/geography feels naive and oversimplified at best, ignoring how important the difference between urban and rural travel is, and how accessible or inaccessible existing infrastructure remains.
