Ig you could call it cyber warfare. In the US, the FBI has investigated troll farms and is aware of their existence. They’re documented their influence on specific communities on Reddit and Twitter. I don’t think they’ve done anything publicly. I imagine MI[insert number here] has taken similar steps and has collaborated with the FBI on this.

Oh and they give them fun names like Fancy Bear.
