The picture on Wikipedia makes it look even more badass. Seems they weren't terribly effective though.

So you're saying unprotected tracks aren't a good design idea?

They also look stamped (maybe cast, possibly forged). Pros/cons there - faster manufacturing, easy to carry, fast to replace, easier to damage.
