Haven't read the article but your translation doesn't address the very eye catching term 'sex-dependent' in the headline. Is the learning disability sexual or are the rats turned into sex addicts?

That's why I read the article and summarized it for everyone. The phrase "sex dependent" means the long term effect of alcohol depends on the sex of the rats. Male rats were far more affected than female.
