$100 is worth protecting your skull IMO, but my last helmet was 3x that much (though it did save me from probable death).

That said, I wouldn't be upset if they came up with helmets that are cheap and just as effective.

For sure! That's why I spent that much lol. My motorcycle helmet was $300, well worth it to save my life.

I personally just try to avoid activities that that would threaten my head to the point I need to wear a helmet...

We’re on the micromobility community. Not a whole lot of micromobility you can safely engage in without some head protection
