Isn’t this a little funny considering the “freedom fries” Nazi types in America causing all the needless hostility ?

The "Americano" coffee drink, meaning "American coffee" in Italian, is believed to have originated during World War II when American soldiers stationed in Italy found the local espresso too strong and diluted it with hot water to resemble their preferred drip coffee.
