I decided to do a bit of tidying up of my computer files in preparation for moving off OneDrive onto Proton cloud storage. Somehow the entire day has disappeared.

it's amazing how much of a mess my photos are - automatic backups and synchronisation across multiple apps and devices has led to a mess of duplicated files and albums. I'm going to leave all the automatic backups off and focus on organising the photos better as I go along.

My files are in a bit of a mess too. I'm intending to use the change to set up the file system from scratch in a more organised way instead of just copying the lot over. When the OneDrive plan runs out I can still access everything on there so there's no rush to deal with all that.
