Several satirists, including Stephen Colbert, and John Stewart, and John Oliver have all commented that they are very tired of hearing the whole “the Republicans are in power, so your job must be much easier!”
They are all, quite vociferously, against this. Each one of them has individually, and commonly, claimed that, “no, it doesn’t make it easier at all. The jokes may be funnier, but we all still have to live through this shit.” they are insist that they hate this as much as everyone else does. They’re just trying to make the best of it.
They are people too.
My argument was actually that it's probably harder for satirists to come up with more ludicrous ideas and statements than actual people say in this day and age, not easier.
I don't know what you're thinking, but at a minimum you completely misinterpreted their comments
