Vesktop is great. However, with the Discord IPO looming (https://www.ign.com/articles/discord-is-reportedly-exploring-an-ipo) it is definitely time to abandon ship.
Too bad Mumble went out of fashion
I love Mumble and in my opinion the only thing it is missing is screen sharing.
I wish it had a solution for text channels and image sharing. Even if it meant paying for a server. My friends wouldn't use it without.
You can paste images into the mumble chat and it shows for all users.
call.element.io! No account needed, seems to have good FPS from a quick test.
There’s also Parsec and https://getbananas.net/ (the latter of which I haven’t tried)
Best alternative I've found is Signal for VoIP and parsec for game streaming
Same :(
They have exploring an IPO for like 4 years now.
They've gotten very serious in the last month, sounds like it's finally happening
I was going to say, it seems you're still using Discord with this and that's not a great thing.
I only use it online for the occasional (like maybe twice a year) time some open-source or super custom project uses it like Not From Concentrate's SFF PC case community
Good to know
