He's already doing that. US stopped all aid to Ukraine (even though it's probably not legal for him to decide that), and is planning on lifting sanctions against Russia.
There's no probably about it.
But he's already been impeached by the house and acquitted by the Senate for stopping aid to Ukraine, so the law doesn't matter anymore.
There are two possible outcomes: either Europe takes over Ukraine’s defense successfully, or they can’t.
If they can’t, then what the US really did is the exact opposite of giving Ukraine to Russia: it made Russia pay a million lives for it.
