My Nana used to do "the fancy work" as she called it. Anyway I found this. She would've crocheted the edges and all. Oh the patience she had.

I can tell this one was probably whipped up in weekend because I've seen a lot of her work. Probably just something to put in my mother's glory box.

The most impressive was a huge full sized blue willow table cloth complete with 8 napkins all crocheted around the edges of course.

Ps. I found more fancy work.

I've got some of these from my grandma and mother. What to do with them though? My modern life is too messy for such delicate items to be used in the house anywhere (don't ask me how I know).

They're called supper cloths and you pack them away only to find them 20 years later, admire them, then pack them away for another 20 years.
