Elon Musk is already being sued over the ultimatum he issued to federal workers over the weekend.

The Associated Press reports that the State Democracy Defenders Fund filed a newly amended lawsuit in a federal court in California on behalf of unions, businesses, veterans, and conservation organizations saying that Musk’s instructions for federal workers to list and explain five accomplishments from the previous week, or risk losing their jobs, violated the law.

Hey if we seized his and other US oligarchs wealth in the same way folks did Russian oligarchs (yachts, etc), how much of our government debt could we pay off? Anyone do the math?

I ask after hearing about $5b going to Ukraine from seized wealth.

We could build a whole new government with that kind of money

US debt is important, it's our world currency. We'd be able to pay off a presumably significant enough portion of it to ensure our world currency is revalued.

AFAIK that was Canada. So: You'd need to have elected a leader with a moral compass in order to do what a country with 10x less people than the USA can do.

🤷‍♂️ Sorry.

I wasn't saying the US did it, just that it was in the news. EU has been doing similar, too.

That's fair, but in this day and age, amid the confusion, in the void of knowing right from wrong due to the privileged selfishly seeking to redefine the lines, I'm gonna keep pointing out who's standing with whom. Think of it as a caboose, without which the train of thought is incomplete.

Context matters.
