I thought it was a bad movie that doesn't deserve the praise
Did you just watch it or did you engage your brain? At surface level it's not even that bad, but as a movie about trying to deal with mental illness it excels.
I went in with the recommendation that it was a solid horror movie and without looking at it through an overly analytical perspective I found it a bit flat and un-exciting compared to what I was hoping for.
I think it was an expectations issue along with the fact that I'm really not a fan of that type of paranormal(esque) horror where the seemingly omnipotent evil entity doesn't have any rules to play by.
It has been a long ass time though and I often have bad takes so maybe I should watch it again and think about your points
