Why is the wordpress logo in the Fediverse?

it uses activitypub, but after the drama with cofounder mullenweg it's basically another asshole-controlled platform i would avoid
Its open source, so just one fork of it, the main one currently, is asshole controlled. Thats a solvable issue with built in mechanisms to do so, and i recall part of the community is working on it.
That doesn't make wordpress any less federated.
Federation does not make something good, either.
The ActivityPub plugin itself is also owned by Automattic.
Anyway, WordPress sucks even without shithead Matt.
I wonder if the plugin works with ClassicPress. Most are compatible.
