This is a community for all things Moomin.
The Moomins is a franchise created by finnish author/illustrator Tove Jansson. It features a vast amount of comics, TV series, movies, books and games, telling various stories mostly set in moominvalley.
If you are new to the Moomins, this video essay is a fantastic starting point to learn about this family-owned franchise.

Wait, what?? Moomin isn't Moomin Papa's and Moomin Mama's biological child? my childhood!
You'll want to hold your breath on that one.
The comics are unrelated to the other version.
As far as i understand it the characters are used like caricature puppets. I believe all comics that are a umbrella title are one contained canon (this is page 4/68 of a single comic). But the next comic under another title may impose something entirely different using the same characters.
They are also much darker and critical.
