Those same people have been trying to get me banned since before the election because I'm a socialist and I refused to vote for Harris or Trump.

Will they be successful in getting me banned? Meh, I don't know. I don't run the instances. But I really think people who dislike me so much should just block me so they don't have to see what I post.

No, that’s news to me. Something about your responses felt to me like a person who’s used to being shouted at, which never feels good. So I just wanted to check in.

Oh, I'm very very used to being shouted at. My career was in the healthcare field, and then special education-affective needs (Middle and elementary school) fields before I retired recently.

Trust me, the shouting I get on Lemmy is nothing compared to the shouting I'd hear in the real world.

People are very passionate and creative in their hatred for me! And when I bring it up they say I have a "victim complex." In fact some people say that in that very thread, even tho the entire thread is about banning me from the entire fediverse. lol

But all good here. None of it affects me. And the admins on my instances refused to bow down to an over-reactive mob, so I'm still here.

Tho I'm still confused why if someone hates me so much, they don't just block me. lol

Some things are true whether you believe them or not. And if you wanna know specifics, I'd consider myself a Libertarian Socialist: https://sh.itjust.works/c/libertariansocialism

I've been a socialist since I discovered their values in 1986. I was a Quaker then, so basically it's pretty much a given.
