On Greenland,

It is already a NATO colony with military bases. NATO would not object to more US presence as part of NATO mission. EU/Denmark would not object to FDI from US for resource exploitation.

The only possible reason for a US "national security" claim is that as a prelude to withdrawing from NATO, it needs to threaten EU further. Any economic exploitation is BS prohibitive due to lack of infrastructure, but if it happens it must be without fair compensation.

That's the path no one takes. EU is threatening defense of Greenland, as they understand the obviousness I explained. Europeans should understand America is not their friend, and never was. Show anger at corrupt politicians that pretend otherwise. There should be more discussion with Russia and China, and isolating the US is necessary for global peace, and global warming progress.

The programming in NATO colonies, should be broken by this. But mainstream attitude pushed by corrupt media is that Trump/US is awful, but we need to restore our deserved subservience level and hope he goes away: 50% increase in military budget as tribute to overpriced US weapons is the CIA agent rulers pitch to their people.

Rather than a distraction, negotiation tactic, it is more of a signal to break negotiations by partners, and clear ambitions of flexing US empire power against soft targets instead of Russia and China. You simply cannot deal with such naked aggression with pretenses of friendly compromises.
