Emoji inspiration: I call this part of the year (the time between Boxing Day and New Year's Day) the "never-never times" because some things are open, others are closed, some people are working, a lot not, so fuck all gets done, and if you need anything besides food or groceries, you're basically SOL

Happy International Day of Epidemic Preparedness!

It’s the beauty of being naive about things and having a certain idealistic view of the world.

Over time though I’ve noticed I’ve become jaded about certain things, the law not withstanding as it doesn’t really seem to do too much and no one gets a sentence near long enough for some of the atrocities that happen.

If may be Rose Coloured Glasses, but things do appear to he getting worse. When we were younger, the sociopaths were shunned and ostracised.

Then, the Internet and New Media allowed sociopaths to interact with each other and create little Sociopaths support groups.

Nowadays, sociopaths are running countries and getting validation from other world leading sociopaths.

For me it's living for decades and seeing how events are rewritten and become accepted history.

Sometimes the rewriting is just accidental, just sloppiness . Other times it's purposeful.

Like Japan changing the narrative of wwii and making themselves out to be the victims.

'History is written by the victors'. I've come to believe that is both true and not true, it really depends.

I think getting the ability to write the history is what makes you the victor, moreso than winning the actual conflict. Which is probably why killing every man, woman and child and then salting the ground was so popular in the bible, you don't want to leave anyone alive to tell a more compelling version.
