I like Wikipedia but I’m still not going to donate. They’ve got many millions and a bunch of millionaires on the board. They don’t need my money!
These millionaires may or may not do anything for Wikipedia.
They don’t make profit, there is no risk of “over donating”
The risk is that they vote for higher salaries for themselves! They already earn way more than most people!
These people would earn orders of magnitude more in the for profit industry.
I would really like to retain them given that they are clearly doing a pretty amazing job
They are board members of a non profit that is performing splendidly. If the options are to either pay them more or lose them to the private sector I say jjst pay them more.
