Considering we're in the summer of finding out, climate-wise, what isn't reasonable is not making every possible effort to reduce our carbon emissions.

Hear, hear! So far, this summer:

  • Water restrictions due to drought forbidding lawn watering in parts of BC (Vancouver, IIRC)
  • The greatest year of Canadian wildfires (by area burned), leading to major air advisory warnings in Toronto, New York (where MLB baseball games were cancelled), and other metropolitan areas in addition to locals suffering far greater impacts (e.g., evacuation, property damage)
  • Flooding in Nova Scotia where lives were lost

Never have the impacts of climate change been so palpable in our own backyard. If this summer isn't the proverbial canary in the coal mine, what is?

This is the best summer of the rest of your life even if we start doing everything we can right now. They will keep doing everything they can to amass unlimited wealth until they are stopped.
