Honestly if people can find happiness by getting away from modern society and living a bucolic lifestyle, I’m all for it.
That has to be the most charitable interpretation possible of the incoming fascist government's intent. It's literally just slave labour with extra steps.

Less picking cotton all day and more fruits and grapes. Or other crops that are still tended by hand, generally by undocumented immigrants.
This is to replace Migrant workers when they kick the Mexicans out.

Fascists don't use language to convey meaning or truth, they use it as a weapon to manipulate. It's on purpose that they muddy the meaning of words and won't define terms even in legal bills so their judges can use the worst interpretation of the broad, vague law like the anti lgbtq law in Russia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_anti-LGBT_law
It's the same way they try to count legal immigrants in the US under asylum as illegal criminals and won't define words like woke unless required by a court.
