DS9 gets some well deserved meme love nowadays. Quite a feat considering most fans thought of it as the black sheep of the Star Trek family during its original run.
DS9 is my favorite Star Trek Series
Mine too.
It's long since been redeemed and elevated.
DS9 was originally panned for taking star trek in fresh and new directions, it is now remembered fondly for taking star trek in fresh and new directions.
During the original run I wasn’t super in to the first few seasons, but I was just a kid who loved Star Trek so I kept watching. I aged in to the more mature seasons nicely and was super disappointed that we didn’t get more Dominion War stuff.
All the holodeck stuff started to bug me though. There’s a war going on and you guys are screwing around with Vic Fontaine??
Wasn't a fan of the holodeck episodes either. But they needed to produce 26 episodes a year. I don't blame them for doing some filler episodes.
Yeah no doubt. TV in general was a lot different then. Now I wish shows would have more filler episodes to strengthen your attachment to the characters.
