Seems like there is an appetite from a few people from aussie.zone so that you guys can be kept up-to-date.

That's good to hear, thanks! Regarding the instance, would you have a preference? I know you have currently on programming.dev, but based on !meta!meta@programming.dev, they seem to have a few issues lately (corrupted database), so I'm not sure I would like to host the community over there

As I stated in another comment, lemm.ee and lemmy.zip are generic and well managed, so I would say one of those two.
