Kind of a weak fine if you compare it to Verstappen's 50.000 fine for touching a rear wing a couple of years ago.
People have received up to 1 minute penalties for similar starting infringements back in the 90ies.. so yeah it is weak
Absolutely. LeClerc was fined โฌ5000 (+โฌ5000 suspended) for using profanity outside the track. Profanities are now more severely punished than illegally driving on a track while stewards and a driver are walking around.
Yesterday a team provisionally earned โฌ30,000,000. A fine of โฌ50,000 is a joke when compared to rewards like that. If touching a competitor's car provides information that makes you win races, it is absolutely worth it.
