Someone smells like they've bathed themselves in aftershave today and it stinks, I don't know how they walk around without knowing how bad and strong it smells.

I feel like my senses are being assaulted, let the day end quickly!

I once used lynx africa on a tram and still feel guilty.

I was once in a lift with someone wearing lynx and am still scarred

Better than smelling like BO!

The ones I haaaate are the girls who get on a crowded tram and proceed to spray themselves with perfume. A known hazard of Friday pm public transport. Or anytime on trams that pass a secondary school.

has flashbacks to Impulse in the post-PE girls’ changing rooms

walking past or through a department store makes me heady

Remember when they used to spray everyone going through Myer?

so many stinky people out there

the way to do perfume

spray 3 short spritzes in the air and walk thru the cloud

after shave, put a few sprinkles on your hands and dab gently on all the shaved areas of your face. It's an antiseptic.

way to do perfume:

TINY. DABS.

Remember it's supposed to entice someone to come closer, to put their face near your neck to sniff that intriguing scent. They should not be able to smell you fifteen minutes after you left the fucking room, it defeats the purpose

About once a decade I find a perfume I like, and doesn’t turn into catpee once on my skin. Then they discontinue it

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

another issue is are people using cologne or parfum? So easy to use too much parfum and that's why I use cologne. I also make sure I do the same amount every time because I don't trust my nose.

Swarms of teenage boys on a bus are one of my worst smell issues

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 2 points 9 months ago

depends. have they showered in the last few hours?

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago (2 children)

I think people smell other people stronger than they smell themselves.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 5 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Someone else noticed it too so it isn’t just me.

I also wear odourless roll ons so it’s not me.

I find the unscented or ‘sensitive’ antiperspirants aren’t as effective which is unfortunate. Really hate that they changed the Mitchum roll on.

I currently use it anyway because the other unscented options aren’t good and it’s better than accidental perfume cloud

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I went with the Nivea women's sensitive roll on, It seems to be working so far the last 2 months I've been using it but it'll probably get a workout during summer.

I do find that it doesn't irritate me though which is good.

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I don’t seem to get much mileage out of women’s stuff. I go for men’s roll ons and either unscented or something that doesn’t really carry

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Oh ok, I used to use the Dove anti irritant one but I didn't like the smell because is smelled like smoke, didnt like it and it was strong.

[–] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Same deal here. Friend recommended the Mitchum one but then they changed it.

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

I think they changed it in 2014, still mad about it
