Not sure. I remember encountering them a few times in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and being weirded out every time. On account of, well, being online. Their "Using the tools of the enemy to defeat them" never really made any more sense than the rest of the ideology to me.
Got a lot of good memes out of them, though!
