Call me crazy but maybe the US shouldn't be firing missiles halfway across the world?

Based on just the headline, you're probably not wrong, but reading the article, you'll see that those are anti-ballistic missile missiles (which is to say, they are missiles used to shoot down other missiles).

There's definitely something to be said about the U.S. support for Israel, but this feels like the most sane and agreeable area of support that could be provided.

They are also are using these intercept missiles to defend civilian shipping.

There's an argument to discuss regarding entanglements with global shipping, Israel, and it's enemies. But using a missile to save a life of a civilian sailor is also "sane and agreeable" as far as global military actions go...

For sure, I 100% agree on that, though it is an angle I didn't think about in my.original comment.
