HR dumped this on a random desk in my office to show their gratitude for all we do. Starts off with "Hi team". There's two people who work in this area, me and someone else and we aren't in the same team, not even in the same site technically.

Dunno why they couldn't be honest and just say they found this at the back of their cupboard when doing a clean out. It would have been less insulting.

gratitude

Someone in HR has children that no longer likes these snacks so has empty their pantry on your desk.

Exactly my thoughts, lol.

Comes on the same day the site I work at was in the news because someone went whistle blowing to the media about conditions.

Very Homer Simpson "Inanimate? I'll show you inanimate" vibes.

You have to let it be known that a gift card would be more appreciated next time.

Probably done with the "best of intentions", trouble is best of intentions really don't mean shit when acting on behalf of the company.

You’re still gonna eat some though I bet

[–] danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 5 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Nah. I have a weird thing about packet food from strangers so I won't touch it.

In that case, perhaps we can go trick or treating together on Halloween ?πŸ˜€

Dan does the tricks, God gets the treats. Seems fair πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Leave it all openly placed in your desk bin?

[–] danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

They're down in Hobart. They'll never see it. Was basically a dump and run.

[–] mysticgreg@aussie.zone 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Mail it back (on the company dime of course)

[–] danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 4 points 10 months ago

Gosh that is tempting.
