If you go to the bible belt there are a lot of churches without an Organ. It blows my mind. How can you have a church without an organ? The big open space with all those rich sounds is what I grew up on.
I went to Church of Christ. They are biblical literalists so they have found verses to take out of context to mean that instrumental music is not allowed.
Also no dancing, no women speaking in church, and classics like don't be gay or divorced.
They got two things right- don't celebrate Christmas as a Christian holiday and they don't baptize children. You have to be old enough to decide to be baptized (13 or 14).
That sounds awful...
I respect peoples beliefs but that is so extreme that it doesn't make sense.
I don't, homophobes can eat shit lmao.
I went to a big, old university where there were many old chapels with excellent organs. I went to some services despite being an atheist, just to hear the pretty sounds echoing 'round a pretty room.
