question: We have a ziplock bag we put spam tins in in the fridge as we eat them, is it die spammenbäg, der spammenbäg or das spammenbäg?

"bag" is feminine in gender in Deutsch - granted they are talking about 'die Tasche' not 'spammenbag' as above. My personal opinion is 'die spammenbag' would be correct as it encompasses the likely effect as well as the noun. Who says you can't pun in German.
