Sadly this is true. It's usually more of a "cancer free for now". But depending on the type, which treatment(s) were done and a bunch of other factors. Sometimes it's gone. Who knows what happens at like 80+ years old, I'm not too familiar with that.

But hope for the best obviously, there's many treatments that can help if it comes back.
