It already did for me, as a solo-developer, problems I normally needed to browse stackoverflow for I can now ask AI in my own editor in the context of my own code. It has been a lifesaver multiple times already and otherwise a significant timesaver.

"AI" or GPT is not the problem, the companies behind it are the problem. It would be a great thing if they weren't restarting nuclear reactors to power it, or they would sell it as a product instead of forcing it on you.

The Microsoft plan to restart Three Mile Island is currently paused, as they want to somehow fund it off of taxpayer funds instead of paying for it themselves.
