Just in case you're serious, it's the abbreviation for a 115 year old union called the International Workers of the World.

They take syndicalist view of unionism, being "a one big union grand", or all workers are from the same class despite their different jobs. So instead of being bound by a workplace like a typical union in the US, you can pay dues based on your income regardless of whether your workplace is unionized, with a different union, or even employed. Yes, you can maintain membership with your union across and between jobs in the IWW.

They were an indirect target during the First Red Scare. The Palmer Raids devastated their numbers because they focused their efforts towards organizing the most exploited workers, typically being staffed by immigrants.
