For instance, because most MIS 3 Neanderthal sites predominantly contain the bones of larger carnivores like horses and rhinoceros, it had been assumed that the species lacked the ability to hunt smaller creatures.

WTH? Carnivores like horses and rhinoceros? Who wrote this?
