Translation "NIL turns out to be extremely expensive and annoying. Please help us in our efforts to collude and suppress wages."

Yeah I fucking hate this bill. Why not just allow athletes to reap the rewards of their work? Honestly, I hope the NCAA dies as an institution, and sports become completely separate from universities.

I think football and basketball maybe also baseball and softball need their own governing bodies. As a former college athlete its absurd to pretend FBS football and D2 swimming are operating even close to the same. The NCAA is also horrible but revenue sports are a whole different beast.

With that said I only really hated the not touching the employee thing, the rest seemed honestly fine.

Fellow former recruit here. I'm worried we're gonna go back to the days before NIL, and it's gonna be a fucking shitshow. I mean for fuck's sake it was sponsored by Tuberville. That alone tells me I'd throw the bill in a furnace before reading.
