As with /r/411 this is where you ask what Community you're looking for but not finding. Perhaps a bit more helpful now that some communities are only found on certain instances.
Found/new community announcements - there are numerous "announcement type communities - see https://lemmy.ca/post/612532
There is also !wowthislemmyexists@lemmy.ca
Before you request There are several resources available to find communities and resources and these have been pinned to the top.
- there are community search engines at https://browse.feddit.de/ and https://lemmyverse.net/communities
- there are numerous other "find a community" and "community announcement" .. communities (list stickied; if you find another, comment pls)
- we will publish a Community Listing (at an as-of-yet-undetermined schedule)

I'm assuming this list is ballooning in the last few days. Do you have any revision history? Maybe number of communities over time?
I'm sure it is. I spent my Sunday working on a script to scrape the community directories directly from an instance's community listing but got bogged down in HTML parsing regex hell. If I don't make progress by Saturday Ill manually compile another list. Best I can do atm.
Well - just saw THIS https://lemmyverse.net/communities drop (and stickied) it. wow.
Yeah, that's very cool. I like that they link to the community directly on each instance, but also give you a fast copy/paste option to copy !community@server.tld so you can find it on your own instance quickly.
