I wish I'd saved it, but I've legit seen tankies argue that we'd be better off if the Confederates had won the American Civil War (the line of thinking was that conditions would have been so bad with slavery continued that a popular/Marxist revolution would have come about in those states by now vs. capitalism continuing).
