I think obvious strikes and home runs, like banning advertising that shows how gambling works seems like abstinence only education. But no advertising during sports events is a slam dunk, to switch to another non football sport analogy.

On the whole, this seems like a surprisingly reasonable bill. I bet (heh) this never gets passed though, even if they really watered it down to appease the gambling lobbyists. I see they're taking the public health angle (good), but they would probably also need to push it as the moral high ground to get through the conservative steering committee and onto the House floor for a vote
