The Earth will be fine. All we're going to accomplish is killing ourselves. The earth will heal after we're gone.

We could roll coal for another 200 years and we won't make things as bad as an asteroid already has several times.

Yeah that Chicxulub asteroid was a doozy. Humanity doesn't quite have the technology yet to cause that level of devastation. There's always a focus on the species that are going extinct (and rightly so), but simultaneously there are species that are thriving and will continue to do so long after we're gone.
