The connection will be large enough to carry enough renewable electricity to power two million homes.

Is renewable electricity somehow different from normal electricity? Are there now two national grids, one for electricity and one for renewable electricity? ๐Ÿ™„

Well renewable energy is green, so you don't want it mixing with grey energy.
