im a bit embarrassed as usually dad jokes are groaningly obvious but I don't get this at all.

There's a star wars joke about Endor-fins in there somewhere.
Edit: or even Endor-Finns if you're willing to acknowledge the existence of the new films.
I just tried to do a search for any meme like this, and surprisingly "Endorfins" is a brand of fins for surfboards.
