When you upload on imgur, click the ... then get share links, and then use the URL from the BBCodes part. This will link directly to the image itself, rather than the link you used which goes to the imgur website and pulls people out of lemmy or their apps.

The direct link for this post is https://i.imgur.com/PfEnQ0D.mp4. If you edit your post and use this link it will fix it.

I wish this comment was posted every time that happens. I can’t even access the imgur link without opening in browser, which I only realized recently- before that, I thought posts were just getting removed/deleted regularly and I missed them all.

Tbh, I’m pretty happy with my app now that I know that. I used to use voyager, but it was really laggy for me(8 year old phone, not voyager’s fault), so I switched. I’m glad it works for you though!

I use arctic, but I’m not sure if it’s available for android. I can only recommend it though
