I just wish he wasn't a geezer...
He and Kamala are the same age, he just looks old. His kids are quite young.
That doesn't make him not a geezer, it just means she looks young.
I did think the 'a young candidate!' stuff was so bloody stupid when she became the pick. She is going to be 60 in October, the only metric by which she is young is compared to Biden and Trump.
Not to say I have a problem with her or anything, but a young candidate she is not.
To be a young president, you have to be super charismatic. I'm kind of over the charismatic part and want them to be boring and stable who want to do good things. True, they're not young, but I'm cool with old, boring and being consistently for the people. Aren't you over all the drama too? Young also means more drama. To have a woman and a pretty progressive ticket with the other option as Trump, we should be dancing in the streets.
We probably will be:-)
Exactly... he's a geezer. She needed to go with someone younger. If we assume she wins (twice), then Walz will be close to 70 before it is 'his turn'. What a waste. If Dems had gone with someone younger then they could keep the momentum of the youth support AND they'd have someone ready to take over when Harris is done. Now, they'll have to start over in 8 years.
I'm shocked happy with him, no baggage and he's pretty progressive. He's closer to Bernie than most would've hoped for and he's not literally dying on stage. I don't give a rats ass about 8 years, we have to save democracy now. Bring in the young ones then and set them up to succeed by having policies put in place that will be easy for them to take further. I can also see why r's are willing to vote for him in Minnesota, they chose well imo.
