Technically it's still accessible through meta search engines that use Google as well, but obviously that's still kinda using Google.
I've been liking SearXNG so far, although it does require some configuration to make it more than just a front-end (and anonymizer) to Google, since that's the default behavior. But that's just a matter of going into the configuration and turning on whatever other search engines you want it to use.
