She emailed me to tell me he hasn't called her.

He's not answering my texts or calls either.

All he had to do was make 1 phonecall for 10 minutes and because he's gone AWOL, I won't be able to start my job.

Fucking hell.

Would a colleague or someone who knows you well from outside work do? When I needed referees I used my hairdresser and my GPs practice manager as I hadn't been in paid employment since 2009.
